  • Began speed skating at age of 9
  • First Fredericton-born speed skater to win a gold medal at the national level
  • Second New Brunswick-born speed skater to garner a spot at the national training centre
  • Placed 3rd (in his age class) at both the Canadian Junior and North American Championships in 1989
  • North American Champion (in his age class) in 1990
  • Silver medalist at the 1991 Canada Winter Games of Charlottetown, PEI (1500 metre)
  • Placed 1st overall (senior men) at the Lanctantia Cup in 1992
  • Named to National Team in December of 1992
  • In 1993, placed 5th in the Canadian Olympic team selection trials
  • Member of the Canadian Olympic Team, Canada placed 4th in the men’s 5000 metre relay at the 1994 Olympic Winter Games of Lillehammer, Norway
  • Placed 3rd in the 5000 metre relay at the 1994 World Championships and earned silver at the World Team Championships of the same year
  • Ranked 8th at the 1995 Canadian open class
  • National Senior Canadian Champion of 1997 (in his age class)
  • At 1997 Olympic team trials, set 2nd fastest time in 666 metre pursuit
  • Member of the Fredericton Sports Wall of Fame, 2009
