  • Dedicated over 35 years to coaching young athletes in high school and university in basketball, volleyball, track and field, cross country and soccer
  • His Fredericton High School teams won ten NBIAA championships in cross country, basketball and volleyball
  • Coached the UNB cross country team to five consecutive AUAA titles and the UNB men’s volleyball team to four AUAA championships
  • As a Master course conductor for the National Coaching Certification Program he instructed over 2,000 coaches from 1970-1987
  • Athletic Director at UNB from 1977-83
  • Founder and first president of Volleyball New Brunswick (1970-74)
  • Member of the board of Volleyball Canada and chair of the national team committee 1977-84
  • Provided executive and technical leadership to many provincial, regional and national organizations and events, including NB & Canada Games, Atlantic Universities Athletic Association, and Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union
