The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame Inc. is
administered by a Board of Governors which ensures that the Hall fulfills its
mission. Committees of the Board are responsible for overseeing key areas such
as the selection and induction of new members; the gallery, collections, and
exhibits; education programs; and fund raising. Day to day operation is under
the direction of professional staff.
The annual induction ceremony is held on the first Saturday in June. The
maximum number of inductees in any year is six. Starting in 2004, one "veteran"
honoree will be inducted in addition to the five new members who may be
enrolled annually. Teams are considered as a single inductee. During the
ceremony a charcoal portrait of the inductee is unveiled, and the inductee is
presented with a specially designed gold pin signifying membership in the
Sports Hall of Fame. Tickets for the event are available to the public and
should be reserved in advance to avoid disappointment. The event is always well
attended with many Honoured Members on hand to welcome the new inductees.
The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame Inc. is a registered charity and will issue
tax receipts for donations, including gifts-in-kind. Donations to the permanent
collection, including memorabilia, photographs and archival material, are
gratefully accepted.
